PPO education in Norway
At a visit to Norway in November 2006, carrying out the project we call "PPO vehicles
for Senegal", we got a nice surprice by meeting very engaged staff and students
at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB), Dept. of Mathematical
Sciences and Technology (IMT). The head og department, Petter H. Heyerdahl
organised a presentation about PPO technology and a demonstration of DAJOLKA´s
PPO car.
First, DAJOLKA´s PPO PowerPoint Presentation for staff and students in the class
room . .
. . then demonstration of DAJOLKA´s VW Carevelle 2,5TDI, converted to PPO by an
ELSBETT TDI 1-tank system.
At the end of the visit the PPO spirit had spread to the whole group, who
celebrated that a fruitfull cooperation between DAJOLKA, Green Trac and UMB/IMT had
started. From left: Herman Qvam (IMT), Petter H. Heyerdahl(Head of IMT), Svein
Lie(Director, Green Trac), Niels Ansø(DAJOLKA) and Ramón Porta(Spain). It should
be mentioned that the content of the bottles was PPO.

In the beginning of 2007 the IMT desided that PPO technology should be a part of their Energy LAB, so the students could get hands-on experiences with PPO. DAJOLKA supplied an oil expeller with seed cleaner, pump and filters, so they could produce fuel quality PPO from local produced rape seeds.

The rape pellets will be tested as fuel in different gasifiers in the IMT´s Energy LAB. The PPO will be tested as fuel in a small Deutz engine, and the results compared to the results from Biodiesel and fossil diesel.
